It’s time to relive a traditional Johnnie home opener with the UW – Eau Claire BluGolds who have provided some of the best early season competition over the past 10 years. The Johnnies have an overall mark of 6 – 4 versus the BluGolds inculding winning the last two meetings in ‘05 & ‘06. Always a top tier team in the WIAC, UW-EC will provide an entertaining matchup for Johnnie Fans.
For all of your pre-game entertainment feel free to load up some tasty treats and head to Johnnie Red’s cookout and Stiftungsfestivities above the south endzone prior to the game. Joining in with a goodwill donation or some of Peg’s Meatballs will help make your Johnnie Pre-Game Activities enjoyable!
If you like to take an early season drive into campus along the the county road south of Collegeville, make plans to use Hwy 94 as construction is currently taking place.
