Great November day for a football game. And we get to do it again next week!
Go Johnnies!
On any given Saturday afternoon the Johnnies entertain and create excitement on both sides of the ball. An integral part of the Johnnie offensive attack is their passing game featuring seniors Josh Overman (3) and Ben Vanderheyden (89).
The Johnnies are 5-0!
Bring on the Tommies. Been a long time since there’s been a Johnnie/Tommie game with so much at stake.
A hot, dry and windy afternoon greeted the 6,000+ fans at Jake Christiansen Stadium Saturday as the Cobbers faced the undefeated Johnnies. It was family day at Concordia, and that contributed to the excellent crowd. The fans were confident that their very capable team could cobble up another victory over the Johnnies; maybe repeating last years 9-6 win at Clemens Stadium.
The Johnnies are 3-0!
As the Johnnies prepare for another season, offensive coordinator Jim Gagliardi is looking for his team to look much better this year. Changes in the offensive line, promising new running backs and receivers, and the absence of a quarterback controversy will all “come together” promising a “more complete team” for 2009.
