On any given Saturday afternoon the Johnnies entertain and create excitement on both sides of the ball. An integral part of the Johnnie offensive attack is their passing game featuring seniors Josh Overman (3) and Ben Vanderheyden (89).

A hot, dry and windy afternoon greeted the 6,000+ fans at Jake Christiansen Stadium Saturday as the Cobbers faced the undefeated Johnnies. It was family day at Concordia, and that contributed to the excellent crowd. The fans were confident that their very capable team could cobble up another victory over the Johnnies; maybe repeating last years 9-6 win at Clemens Stadium.

Exclusive Interview Reveals Plan to Cement Line

As the Johnnies prepare for another season, offensive coordinator Jim Gagliardi is looking for his team to look much better this year. Changes in the offensive line, promising new running backs and receivers, and the absence of a quarterback controversy will all “come together” promising a “more complete team” for 2009.
