While the Johnnies and the Nation that is unrivaled “enjoy” an off week (thanks to Macalester) the rest of the Football world will be all a twitter over the return of Brett Farve to Lambeau Field. The excruciating anticipation for the Packer faithful is due to Farve continually looking to mimic a chameleon with regard [...]

The SJU Unofficial Underground News doesn’t take a bye week — #9
Yeah, it’s a bye week for the Jays, and you may be getting antsy. But to tell the truth, although it’s strange not to be heading off somewhere to watch our Johnnies on Saturday, this off-week comes at a very good time. Junior QB Joe Boyle reinjured his gimpy thumb in the first quarter in what should have been a breather game for St. John’s against St. Olaf.

Lonely Boat
As the most widely read contributor to this website you may have been surprised to see my writing partner TouchDownTommy, AKA Nacho Libre, posting first thing Monday in place of my typical early morning composition.
As a budding college football observer, TDT is finding his niche among the writers at JohnnieFootball.com and was in creative mode following his attendance at the Cobber game Saturday on the UST campus.
Trip Down Snelling Ave…
I am writing this week exhausted from the incredible sports weekend in the Twin Cities. Saturday the Gophers predictably fell to the Badgers for the umpteenth time and the Johnnies made a valiant comeback to shock the Royals in Collegeville. Sunday the Twins thrilled the 51 thousand at the Dome and those tuned in on [...]

With offensive woes minimizing an otherwise potent football team it was time to consider giving back the play calling ability to the players.
Ten Minutes with Touchdown Tommy
I recently had the chance to catch up with a couple of the biggest college football fans in the country. Keith and Phil Arnold, from RoadtoGameday.com, were kind enough to spend some time with Johnniefootball.com. Many thanks to the Arnold Bros. and good luck to their Cretin-Derham Hall Raiders in the State Semifinals this weekend.
Phil (far [...]
Better than Losing!
The knuckle bumping, hand holding, fanny slapping first year coach of St. Thomas was served his first dose of “Johnnie Magic”.
Welcome to the MIAC Glen Caruso.
Ten Minutes with Touchdown Tommy
I recently had a chance to catch up with Johnnie Vendor extraordinaire, Dick Wilke. Many thanks to Dick for taking the time. If you see “The Trickster” working an event in the Twin Cities, don’t forget to tell him that Touchdown T sent ya…
