Mark Lewandowski (a.k.a. VOJ (Voice of the Johnnies)) was kind enough to send over a clip from the Johnnie Football Radio Network Quinlivan & Hughes Pregame Show before the UST game this past Saturday. The clip is his interview with Tommie coach Glenn Caruso. It’s a fantastic listen and shows some excellent foresight for a game that did come down to defense. Enjoy!

The story du-jour this past week has been the many fans and tailgaters making their way to Collegeville for the 2009 chapter of John Gagliardi’s 61 year career. Never at a loss for the dramatic, Johnnie Football has provided fans with enough entertainment this season alone to replace their collection of Vince Flynn novels.
The latter [...]
Johnnies tame the Tomcats: The photographic evidence
Another nail biter in Collegeville. Johnnie Dad (Jeff Sowden), Ryan Ward (ROR Jr.) and Tim Ward (Retired Old Rat) were busy snapping hundreds of photos of the action on the field, in the stands and at the pregame tailgate. Here we provide our favorite photos. We hope you enjoy them.

Previewing THE BIG ONE

Tommie Week
Fans, it has come to be time for the game that everyone is waiting for. Although the weather may not be warm, people seem to be keeping warm by the thoughts of this weekend and what is about to take place. Everyone I have talked to, who isn’t involved directly with the football team has [...]
Because it is……
The border battle, the civil war, the war between the hedges, the biggest cocktail party in the world, these are some of the phrases the sports fan hangs on it’s annual College Football rivalry tilts. For all in the Nation that is unrivaled we prefer to embrace a more simplistic and pure (similar to our [...]
Black Hat Tailgating
Here it is Johnnie fans, the match-up we’ve all been waiting for has arrived and we’re mere hours away from kick-off. Whether you’ve been anticipating a conference showdown to determine the automatic qualifier for the DIII playoffs, or your blood boils just thinking about that other Catholic university in St. Paul traveling to Collegeville, the [...]
Lonely Boat
As the most widely read contributor to this website you may have been surprised to see my writing partner TouchDownTommy, AKA Nacho Libre, posting first thing Monday in place of my typical early morning composition.
As a budding college football observer, TDT is finding his niche among the writers at JohnnieFootball.com and was in creative mode following his attendance at the Cobber game Saturday on the UST campus.
