The offense has been faced with many questions this season. I thought it couldn’t hurt to ask them a few more. This week I am able to showcase Greg Sowden, Ben Dimond, Dan Gamache, Erik Kottom, and Tim Juba. To the average fan, they are the “O-Line,” but as we find out, there is much [...]

“The Sweet Season”
As the Johnnie offense grabbed headlines for making it’s reappearance during the festive Johnnie homecoming this weekend, St. John’s middle linebacker Ryan Wimmer added another performance in what is “All American” in quality and potentially also in recognition.
Hansel Leads Johnnies to 31-17 Homecoming Victory Over the Gusties
The revolving door that has been installed at the Johnnies QB position may have, at least temporarily, been disabled Saturday by a breakout performance put on by Jordan Hansel. Hansel completed 19 of 36 passes for 3 TDs, while throwing no interceptions.
The first four weeks of the 2008 season reminded me of a real life [...]

Johnnie Gameday Predictions: Gustavus
Well, here we are: Homecoming. After a really rough last week, the Johnnies — and our prognosticators — look to rebound this week. Will the team come out firing like several of these predictions certainly will? Or will the hangover get the best of both? Let’s find out.

This week, the Johnnies look to rebound after a hard-fought loss to MIAC rival Concordia. The visiting Gusties from Gustavus Adolphus College will bring a perfect record of 2-0 into [...]
The Life Of A Kicker
Hey Johnnie fans. Sorry it has taken me so long to write a new post, but school has been busy for me lately. Today we are fortunate enough to have the day off. For those of you who don’t know what I am talking about, it’s Heritage Day here on campus and that means no [...]
Inside the Numbers: Concordia Recap
Any time the Johnnies outgain their opponent by a nearly two-to-one margin, like they did Saturday when they rolled up 307 yards of total offense against only 183 for the Concordia Cobbers, you can almost assuredly put another tally in John Gagliardi’s win column. In Gagliardi’s 589th game as a college coach, breaking Eddie [...]
