Johnnie Red

I am Mike “Johnnie Red” Fahey, a `75 grad of St. John’s. While at St. John’s I ran track and cross-country. I went on to attend law school at St. Louis University and started practicing law in Carver County in the fall of 1978. In November of1986 I was elected the Carver County Attorney and held that position until May 31, 2007, when Governor Tim Pawlenty appointed me a district court judge in Scott County, First Judicial District.

As past president and present board member of the J-Club, the Johnnie lettermen alumni club, I was instrumental in starting the Gagliardi Trophy concept in 1993 through the J-Club. The Gagliardi Trophy, named after coach John Gagliardi, is awarded annually to the top NCAA Division III player in the nation. It was an honor to be able to serve on the national selection committee for two years. In 2001 I started the Stiftungsfestivities, the tailgate party before all Johnnie home games and selected away games. The party is located above the scoreboard end of the football field in the parking lot just to the north. All are welcome.
